The daughter of the physician Samuel Crumpe of Limerick Ireland (d. 1796); she published novels and was an acquaintance of Thomas Moore and Thomas Crofton Croker. In 1855 she became the second wife of Alexander Lewis Joseph, Count Milon de Villiers.
