John Hill (d. 1857)
Educated at Marischal College in Aberdeen, in 1816 he succeeded Thomas Arnold as the
manager of Belle Grove, a private madhouse in Leicester, and afterwards practiced as a
surgeon in Derby. He was a friend of Samuel Parr.
