The daughter of John William Ponsonby, fourth Earl of Bessborough; in 1834 she married William Thomas Petty-FitzMaurice, Earl of Kerry, and in 1845 the Hon. Charles Alexander Gore. Sydney Smith wrote in 1835, “I am a convert to the beauty of Lady Kerry; her smile is charming.”
