Sir Thomas Ussher (1779-1848)

The son of the Rev Henry Ussher, first Astronomer Royal of Ireland; he was educated at Trinity College Dublin and was captain of the Undaunted, which carried Napoleon to St. Helens. He was Equerry to William IV and created K.C.B. (1831).
