Charles Dundas, baron Amesbury (1751-1832)
The second son of Thomas Dundas (d. 1786); educated at Edinburgh University and at
Trinity College, Cambridge, he was MP for Richmond, Yorkshire (1775-80, 1784-86), Orkney
and Shetland (1780-84), and Berkshire (1794-1832); he was raised to the peerage in
1832.
