Martin Madan (1725-1790)
The son of Col. Martin Madan and Judith Cowper; he was chaplain of the Lock Hospital for
repentant prostitutes (1750-80) and an advocate for polygamy. He corresponded with Lady
Huntingdon and John Wesley.
