John Craufurd of Auchinames (1780-1858 fl.)
The son of Patrick Craufurd and nephew and heir of John Crauford (d. 1814); educated at Westminster School, he was a magistrate in Ayshire and an acquaintance of Charles Eastlake and Joseph Severn at Rome. He was secretary to the Ionian Senate (1826) and treasurer of the Ionian Isles (to 1833). The son of Patrick Craufurd and nephew and heir of John Crauford (d. 1814); educated at Westminster School, he was a magistrate in Ayshire and an acquaintance of Charles Eastlake and Joseph Severn at Rome. He was secretary to the Ionian Senate (1826) and treasurer of the Ionian Isles (to 1833).
