Robert King, second earl of Kingston (1754-1799)
Son of the first earl (d. 1797); educated at Eton, he was an Irish improving landlord who
once employed Mary Wollstonecraft as governess. In 1798 he was acquitted by the Irish
Parliament for murdering his daughter's seducer.
