Royal
Highness, the Ranger, to comply with the wishes expressed by her
ladyship and the other persons in the neighbourhood of Belgrave
Square. Buildings are growing up in all directions adjacent to Hyde
Park, and there is no doubt that similar applications will be made
for a similar accommodation. At present, there are six public
entrances into Hyde Park, besides five or six foot gates, and when
the contiguity of Hyde Park Corner is considered, in reference to
the present application, it would not appear desirable to establish
another thoroughfare so near to the former one. Under the
circumstances, Lord Duncannon regrets that he
is under the necessity of declining to forward the proposal.
