The Creevey Papers

“11th.
“. . . I dine on Friday at Lord Melbourne’s, Saturday at Lord Petre’s, Sunday at Dowr.
Sally’s. . . . A card from Lady
Jersey for Thursday—the first this season. Does she begin
to think at last that she can’t turn the Government out? or is it in
return for Grey’s civility in sending
as he did to the Beau and Peel to beg their assistance at a Council about
the intended Coronation. Charles
Greville carried the message from Grey, and
they both seemed much pleased, and said they would attend.”
