Of Normanton Park. the son of Sir Gilbert Heathcote, fourth baronet; he was educated at Westminster and Trinity College, Cambridge, and was a Whig MP for Boston (1830-30, 1831-32, Lincolnshire (1832-41), and Rutland (1841-56).
