The sister of Elton Hammond (1786-1819); Aaron Burr described her in 1811 as “also a philosopher, about twenty-one, belle, grande blonde.” Burr also mentions a sister named Harriet. One of Hammond's sisters lived as a companion of Anna Laetitia Barbauld.
