Scottish Quaker; in 1749 she married John Waldie of Berryhill, afterwards of Hendersyde; she allowed young Walter Scott the use of her library. She was the grandmother of John Waldie (1781-1862) and the writer Charlotte Anne Waldie Eaton. The Waldie genealogy is incomplete and unsettled.
